Gage Calibration Technician- 2nd Shift
Reports to: Gage Lab Supervisor, Daily activity monitored by production second shift foreperson
Duties and Responsibilites
- Calibration of various types of mechanical gaging such as: flush pin gages with digital and dial
indicators, template gages, plug gages, location gages, etc. to blueprint specifications.
- Minor gage repair or adjustment.
- Manage and maintain gage calibration system, schedules and records.
- Write purchase orders requests and/or work orders.
- Schedule calibration intervals with manufacturing without disrupting production activities.
- Support second shift inspector as needed
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous gage calibration experience.
- Strong metrology background including surface plate, calipers, micrometer, gage blocks, height gages,
cadillac etc.
- Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading, engineering drawings, work instruction etc.
- CMM or Optical Measurement a plus.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills.
